How much can windows support for ram? I was talking to this guy and I told him that 32bit supports 3.25 to 3.50 gigs and 64bit support up to 16 gigs. He told me that windows supports 2.5 gigs for 32bit. Then i told him that the ram that isn't used by windows can be used as a swap but it'll be unstable. My motherboard supports 8 gigs and I told him that the computer will support it but windows wont use it.

To be honest, until I had just found that out using google... I did not know that there were such systems with the hardware capability to support that much ram. My assumption is that it is primarily for server's that run massive networks or websites, but it is still a lot.
