yah it acceptable not to be involved.. if your spending your extra time in clubs and such, then peoples grades might start to slip so the extra clubs wont help if there grades are bad....

Of course it's ok for people to be involved as much or as little as they wish in campus organizations. Some employers look for people who have been active in their college activities, if that lends some idea of better interaction with the responsibilities of the job. Others don't much care. However, I am not sure how you of all people should try to call anyone lame about anything.

I don't know. I have a feeling that in the USA clubs are a lot more important to college life than in the UK. I mean someone said above no clubs=no social life. Whereas thats just not hte case in the UK.

I say its acceptable, but why wouldn't you.. yes you can say it is your choice *and yes, your right it is* but as a student myself and extremely involved in clubs and sports on campus I can tell you it has helped my social and academic career a lot. With clubs, I have gotten to know many of my prof.'s very well and it is easier and much more comfortable for me to come talk to them during non class hours. Plus, I have met a ton of awesome people and great friends through clubs.. look at it this way... if your at the same club meeting you must have some sort of interest in common.
