i don't know if i missed this or not, but did David make it so that only support leaders can see this forum and see fresh topics made in here on the sidebar?

and what could we do to make it so that people will vote more on the eHelp responces?  i personally think that's an important part of the eHelp process, seeing that it can determine a good support leader from a bad one.  maybe we can make it a little larger?  and after so many bad votes, i think the moderators should be prompted to investigate their actions in eHelp.  or does that already happen?  i don't know, i haven't been here in a while...

This forum is publicly viewable, but only support leaders may post.

I see no reason to try and encourage more people to vote on eHelps; I personally feel it is peripheral to the eHelp process and makes people reply for all the wrong reasons. If they don't rate it, then you can't force them to.

I don't really see a reason for them to be obliged to rate you either. Members moan that they don't get rated, but I'm sure a hell of a lot of them would rather not get rated at all than be rating with negative feedback.

In answer to your moderation question - no, there is not an automatic "this member has x negative feedbacks, please investigate". The eHelp is a pretty un-moderated zone of LiveWire, as we trust our SLs to be mature and decent enough to respond appropriately and fully. They passed the SL application because they appeared to gvie good advice, and thus it is generally trusted that this will be carried on in the eHelp system. Generally when a SL is demoted it is because they have done something that would tarnish their SL status, such as telling a member in the support forums to quit moaning, or they've been warned for spamming, or they've been harrassing another member. Sometimes a mod will see inadequate responses when they themselves are reviewing the eHelps and investigate the member's responses a little further, as I was just doing less than ten minutes ago with a certain member, and decide then whether or not they should be demoted. It's generally because of outside reasons, however.

I think there should be a way for moderators to see those support leaders who have poor feedback ratings, but I don't think we should force people to rate e-help replies any more than they do now.

E-helps are for helping a member and sometime they just don't feel our responses are good even if they are the best we can do. They'll rate us with a negative. It's an opinion. It really can't say whether you're a good or bad SL.

Not true.  Anyone can read it, just not post.

Even if I'm the only one laughing its still worth doing.

Why does the public of LiveWire need to see this forum? It's not like any information in here would help them. Besides, what good is this forum to the public if they can't post anything? Anyways, just thought I'd share my thoughts.

It provides a useful look into how SLs function and the ideas behind becoming one.

Then maybe LiveWire needs to see the Mod forum as well.

Because confidential information is exchanged in the mod forum, as are plans and developments on certain members who are a deterrent to the community. Opening such information up would cause a raucous and be entirely counter-productive.

Support Leaders aren't handling sensitive information that could:
- Harm certain members
- Harm Livewire if it gets in the hands of certain members
- Detract from what Support Leaders' have to do and make it more difficult.

Mods need a forum for confidential information and private discussion. Opening it would cause soooo many problems.

Also, it'd let loose the secret of how corrupt we all are. The OS Board can't see the Mod forum for a reason, you know.

It's true...we can't let the members see the 'OK, I killed another member...wanna' help me bury the body topics'. They might get upset
