Ok kiddies, let's not get to flaming.

It's over, the eHelps stopped, answer what's left, and move on with your lives.

Who are we as Support Leaders to determine if someone really needs help or not. If you feel that they were made out of spite don't reply to them and leave them alone. For all you know that person could be serious and to me they seem legit and I don't see any bloody reason for them to be removed.

I am tired of you power hungry support leaders removing what in my opinion are perfectly legit ehelp request.

I don't like your tone in your post. I am not, by no means, a "power-hungry" support leader. I applied for the position to be a support leader for a reason: to help fellow teens and peers with issues and problems that I have gone through, and you calling me a "power-hungry" support leader hurts my feelings. I put deep thought into every one of my eHelp responses, and by you threatening me like that is just utter arrogance. I have done NOTHING to those eHelp requests. That's why I decided to start a topic in this forum asking for help because, obviously, I have never encountered such a problem before. I may be new to LiveWire and a be a new support leader, but there is no justification on WHY you had to call me a power hungry support leader.

I'm sorry, but your post ticked me off so much, I had to reply.

I apologise for my tone in that post, but I am honestly  tired of replying to perfectly legit ehelps and by the time I hit send reply, I get the error message saying that the ehelp has been removed. This sort of thing discourages one from replying to ehelps.

BTW none of my post targeted anyone.

Maybe Davjs, should make it to where 3 Support Leaders can vote it off but at least one Moderator has to agree... more like over rule it.

And rhapsody, who are you to determine what a "legit" ehelp is?
He said he had a slight suspcision, you should be careful before you start to make assumptions.

You do realise that I said, what in 'my opinion' is a legit ehelp. Then again my opinion doesn't count.

I apologise for my tone and the generalisations that I made in my first post in this topic.

I completely agree.

I suggested it in another topic this forum, that either it should require at least one moderator vote or that it should be more like the voting system for denial of services so that you could actually vote against the removal of the ehelp. But to some Support leaders it was "a waste of unnecessary steps".

So I propose that the feature for support leaders should be removed and replaced with a Report button, which would allow us to contact a moderator about it.

OK. That post was directed at a specific person. Me.

Yes, that was my position on the issue yesterday, but there seems to be too much bullshit flying around the subject of deleting eHelps, so I've changed my mind.

Mod's can take care of it. They did before we could vote to delete, so what's changed?

LW's worked fine with mods deleting eHelps up until now, I don't see why anything had to change. It's only being abused.

The problem is, who are we to call something an emergency? Who are we to say what is and is not an emergency in someone's life? Sure, some things are not die hard emergencies, but as long as it is not complete B.S., don't vote it off! I think we should make a definition a lot more elaborate on what Ehelp is, and the different situations, and scenarios there are. For instance if someone makes an Ehelp about them never being able to orgasm, when having sex with their boyfriend.

That could effect someone mentally, and physically. Therefore, it seems to be an emergency. They could be thinking they can lose their boyfriend, never enjoy sex again, and other things.

Thank you. I really think that this new system is causing more trouble than it's worth. I don't think that Support Leaders are "power-hungry" per se, but I definitely think that some ehelps are being deleted that are perfectly acceptable (I'm not talking about the one's tonight, I haven't seen those. I'm talking about one's made in the past that I have seen deleted by Support Leaders). There is obviously disagreement over what consitutes an acceptable ehelp, and I really think that the mod's should be the one's to decide what's acceptable and what's not.

And guys, remember to not make this personal. We don't need to bicker over these things. You guys are Support Leaders, post with maturity and try not to target other people. Be the bigger person and just let it go, or take it to messages.

Given the amount of grief and incorrect eHelps being deleted, it would seem easier just to scrap the new system and replace it with a report button. At the very least, accountability is needed.

And stop making it personal. It's all rather ironic that support leaders chosen for emotional maturity are being reduced to making everything offensive, personal mudslinging. You can make a point civilly. And if you feel yourself getting unduly angry, then take a step away from the computer.

Please.
