Why would someone whom works as a helper and along-side psychologists make more? Isn't that like asking if a paralegal makes more than a lawyer?

Edit: Evidently parapsychology is totally different from paralegals:

So when you're happy (Hurray!), or sad (Aw!),
Or frightened (Eeek!), or mad (Rats!)
An interjection starts a sentence right.

Is that to do with the supernatural/ghosts etc..? Well, it would be interesting if you're into that. There are different types of psychologists from occupational to child so it's difficult to say if you'll get more money from it. If you're genuinely interested in it then I say go for it. Having a career is not a "job" which you should chuck in after 3 months, I think if you go for a career - it should be something you enjoy.

Right now, there is not much money in parapsychology and jobs are hard to find. The areas one can get a paid job would be writing, teaching and, possibly experimental work in labs.

As for salary, none. My work, except for giving ghost tours, is volunteer. I am working on a couple of books and will be teaching in fall.

There are some excellent websites about parapsychology and careers.

Keyword, ASPR or American Society for Psychical Research and Parapsychology Foundation. They should be able to give you some more detailed information.

They can if they're really good at conning people into believing that stuff.
