The Teen / College Alcohol & Substance Abuse forum is intended to provide support for those with drug and alcohol addiction problems, and those who have friends and family with similar problems.  This forum is NOT intended to discuss the "safe" usage of illegal or legal drugs

The following are examples of what is NOT PERMITTED in this forum:

  • Stupid Topics (i.e. "I WAS SO HIGH LAST NIGHT!!!")
  • Topics asking how to safely use cough syrup to get high (i.e. How much can I take before it becomes dangerous to get high?)
  • Topics recommending new and creative uses of drugs (i.e. making your own half tobacco half marijuana cigarettes)
  • Topics endorsing drug use (i.e. You should try shrooms, you'll learn more about yourself! I sure did!)
  • Topics requesting info to facilitate access to drugs (i.e. How much will I have to pay? Where can I go to get it? How can I make it? How much should I take my first time?)
  • Topics asking for your favourite drug or drink
  • Topics asking for you to tell about your best high or "best drunk experience."
  • Topics discussing the recreational use of prescription drugs, whether not, but especially if, the poster is not the person to whom the drugs are prescribed (this is illegal).

NOTE: Any content that is deemed to not relate to the "support" nature of this forum may be deleted at the discretion of LiveWire Staff.  A prime example of this is drug paraphernalia, which may be legal in many cases, but does not have a place in this forum.

So, you may be wondering "How much and what kind of information may be dispensed via this forum?"

Factual and informative information about certain drugs  can be provided in order to support members and sate curiosities.  However "crossing the line" is defined as giving information on HOW to take a drug or HOW MUCH of a drug to take, and any post, no matter how informative and well-written, that contains such information, or that endorses the use of the drug, even a legal drug, WILL BE DELETED.

As much as this policy differs from the way in which this forum has been moderated in the past, you need to understand that this decision is FINAL and a direct mandate from the administration of LiveWire Peer Support Network.  Arguing your points against drug forum policies with moderators is futile.  We cannot allow any content which conflicts with these policies, as these policies, again, are direct mandates from administration.  We also must adhere by these rules to protect LiveWire, a non-profit organization, based in the United States, from litigation threatened against us, and to make sure that our servers are not hosting information on illegal activities.

*Conversational topics about LEGAL alcohol usage should be posted in the Food and Cooking forum, as these topics do not mesh with the support purpose of TA&SA

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.  This topic is being locked as it is FINAL.  If you have any questions or concerns, my PM inbox is open to all members.
