Oh trust me you can make money doing them. You first have to find the right ones. To be honest that is what I do and I just weed out the waste of time ones and only do the ones that make sense for me. I actually recommend them.

I have an account with UPromise and fill out surveys through them. The money is not a lot (50 cents to $12) but all of it goes into my student savings account which I can use for college tuition. The longer the survey, the more it is worth. You won't get rich and it won't pay your bills though!

You can definately make money taking surveys you just have to find the right sites.  I use GetCashDollars.com.  Not only do they pay pretty well but they also offer random incentives.  This month they're offering a vacation to EVERY member that earns $30.00! I've been with this website for a while now so I know that their incentives are legit.

You most certainly can make money with surveys!  

But like anything else, you have to be consistent with it. A lot of people try it a couple of times and make a few dollars and then they say you can't make much money from it. But if you really stick to it and do it consistently you can make a lot of money from it.

Of course there are a lot of scams out there so it's important to avoid those. But if you know which ones are legitimate it can bring in a tidy sum each and every month. There's a nice list here:
