Start by volunteering. Seriously. Tell the owner of the establishment you want to volunteer. After getting the go ahead work hard. Work hard and take pride in your work.

This is exactly how I got my paying job at the pet groomers/pet store/water garden store.

I started out working for free and once the owner saw how I took pride in my work she became impressed and contacted the state to help pay my salary as I am disabled.

So if you can't "degrade" yourself by starting out as a volunteer worker then you don't deserve a paying job.
