I'll take them again in the fall, but I just took them for the first time this June and this i what I got.

CR          670
Math       720
Writing    740

I started crying because I didn't finish my essay, so I fudged that and then kind of screwed two other sections because I was trying to calm down. I think my scores are still satisfactory though, right?

You made higher than I did. I felt pathetic. Did you study at all for it?

Your scores are really good compared to mine. I'm hoping my ACT scores will be a lot higher. I totally bombed the SAT.

Critical Reading.

All three sections are based off of 800.

CR is critical reading. I'm anonymous because SAT scores are a pretty private thing, even if it's in an online forum.

British confused poster: each section is out of 800.

Eh, my scores JUST make the bottom mark of the 50%-whatever scores for Northwestern.   But you're right, I mean with a little work they'll be just what I wanted.

Whoa, you did really well. I got an 1820 which I've been told is still really good.
Nice job. :)

Your combined score is over 2100.

You don't even need to bother taking them over really, unless you're applying to somewhere super fancy.

With my 2050 I got into UPenn, and I'm quite fine with that

Try again; before that take some practice tests to get your timing right, then you should score a lot higher.

with 10 points more than you (1400), I got into Tufts early decision (and so withdrew my apps from Middlebury, vassar, and George Washington). I wouldn't worry. Take them again, but if you feel like stopping with SATS and focusing on the subejct tests you might still have, you've done well and should be proud.
