if i get them both from the same place what if i dont like the hosting. can i switch? will there be problems?

Get them separately. Hosting companies tend to make managing your domain name a hassle (there are notable exceptions), but domain registrars have no such obligations.

Exactly. It's best to get your domain from like godaddy or shit as you may or may not have difficulties moving your domain if you got it from your host.
