I have been a cutter for 7 years, I recently broke up with my girlfriend and I didn't give into the urge. (In addition to being a cutter, I have also been trying to stop for a while and I haven't cut in over a month and a half).  I am very proud of myself for not giving in.

And congrats, wingedmisery. I know how hard it can be. Just keep pushing yourself into not doing it, even when it gets hard. And don't beat yourself up if you slip. It's not easy.
