Well, actually you have a lot more freedom and lot less class. But some of your classes (like chem lab) can go on for HOURS. Like 3. So, yeah...

Yes, but it shouldn't deter you if it's a class particularly specialized to your major. I have a Logic and Design Course for Engineers that's 5 hours, and I thoroughly enjoy the projects.

It's way better than highschool. You get to be responsible for your success and failure. It's not that bad and don't over load yourself.
Just work hard and it'll pay off *for the most part*
