Sometimes when I'm in bed at night I feel like there's some dead person standing in the room or a person out the window or something.. jeez it really freaks me out sometimes that I have to completely cover the blanket over me in case I might see something or something might touch me.. what's wrong with me?? is it just an overactive imagination?

I used to have that problem, I remember almost crying my eyes out at a sleepovver because I thought I was surrounded by skulls (that I couldn't even see). I think it is an over active imaignation, just try to have a reality check when you start imagining things. Infact try turning on the light or looking to where the supposed dead person is and then you can convince yourself gradually that there's never anything there and it's your imagination. I did that and I'm not really able to freak myself out anymore. Give it a go.

Yeah, we suffer from over-active imaginations. Don't worry, I get like that occasionally, but I always have the covers up to my ears.

happens to me too, but fairly randomly, just sometimes get this feeling that someones there when really your alone. I'd say its fairly normal, maybe you should just leave a lamp on or something so you can see that no ones there.

Possibly stress. I'm a pretty fearless person, but due to a lot of subtle stress, I (at least for awhile before) would feel like there was something watching me sleep a lot of the time. And not even like a 'person', but sort of like some kind of omnipresence. And I'm not schizophrenic or anything, I don't have hallucinations or hear voices or anything. When you sleep, the thoughts that normally preoccupy your mind disappear, and if you're tense, things like hearing and 'perception' can be amplified severely, causing things like that. The horror movie thing makes some sense, too, but I doubt it's only that. Because of sharpened sensitivity to night noise, things like the air filter and the fan would sometimes develop patterns or even get very loud. It's very strange, I'll admit, but I think a lot of this can be a reaction to stress. But I don't know, you'll have to think about that. Hope it's just the horror movies.

Same here. I get it... but its spirits for me... like if i talk about someone who is dead...like me and my uncle sharing our favorite memory of a dead wrestler....or something, if happens.
