First, learn to love yourself. Wake up in the morning with a good attitude. All of my bad days always start off with me being angry about having to simply get up. I think most other people are that, way, too. Wake up and say to yourself that you're a great person and anyone who doesn't feel the same way isn't worth any trouble. I think that I have enough friends and acquaintances to get myself through the day. Honestly, I got that way by commenting on everything. Sarcasm is respectful in high school. If you're sarcastic and witty, people are going to laugh at you. I'm not trying to change you or tell you to be fake, I'm simply telling you what teenagers like in a person. The easiest and best way to make honest friends who are going to stick by you is by being yourself and being assertive. If sarcastic and witty isn't you, then don't do it. It was just an example. Make eye contact with people you see. Talk to people you sit by at lunch that aren't a part of your group. Talk to people in the lunch line about random things that come to mind. Smile at people walking down the halls. If you get alot of homework, or a group project, having to go through trouble and work with others brings you closer.
