How can I make friends with workers? They have to be nice because they have to and it's their job. But deep inside, they probly find stuff stupid and just smile and be nice about it.

How can you make friends with an employee? I'm also mentioning strongly about lifeguards since I saw one today that looked around my age. Imagine you were in that situation. What if you were the lifeguard and a swimmer comes and makes conversation with you? Then they come back the next week on the same day of the week and made more convo and then asked for your email or somethin?

What do you all think of making friends with employees. lifeguards especially...for someone who has no friends?

If I were that lifeguard I'd probably be under the impression you wanted to sleep with me.

Ya so....I'm a lifeguard and if someone came over and started talking to me in the chair I would find it annoying as shit because your whole job is to be up in the chair paying attention to people who are swimming.

If you want to talk to one, wait until they rotate down.  You wont make any friends if you get someone in trouble at work.

At every job I've ever had, I've made friends with the employees. It takes time, and getting used to people, and getting to know them. Heck, 3 of my closest friends I met while working at McDonalds. All my other friends I've met while working where I'm at now, which is a cafeteria. Just give it time, and put the effort in to get to know them.

Even still. I work in a college cafeteria, around people my own age. It wasn't that hard for me to make friends with the customers, or get a few of the guys' phone numbers But seeing as you work at either a pool or lake, idk. I dont go there often enough to know how the age range is different. Idk. Just try to make casual conversation during breaks or downtime.
