I have a skin condition know as keratosis pilaris and have visited 4 dermatologist about it. Their only explanation was allergic reaction and unhealthy diet. They also recommended me some lotions to use, which were completely useless in curing my skin condition. Fustrated, i relied on the internet. Did some research, and realized that my condition could be caused by parasite infection. I then found the right treatment from the net, and sure enough, i was completely cured. I have completely lost faith in doctors. Not one of them could tell me it was a parasite infection, after years of education. I cant believe i paid consultation fees to consult clueless airheads.

I had scarlet fever, and since its a very old/rare disese, they didnt think it was scarlet fever. So i kept getting really sick, untill they finally realized.

I have the same problem! There is very clearly something wrong with me, because I have leukemia symptoms and my mono is flaring up - yet they take 10 tubes of my blood and nearly $1,000 each visit and they tell me NOTHING is wrong with me. They're unreliable, and it pisses me off to know this is the best we have -_-

huh well then good for you for figuring it out on your own not too many people would be able to do that today so many people just take what the doc says because it is assumed that they are always right

Idk how the public/private health system works in Australia, but they should have ordered some biopsy to find out your real problem. If they just looked at it, and determined that as any other allergenic condition you'd get better if used a simple non-medicated or a mild-medicated lotion, then I agree: They're a bunch of airheads.

I'm not arguing with you, but I'm curious; you visited 4 dermatologists. How many times did you see each one? Sometimes people are displeased they didn't get better after the first or second doctor's visit, so they change doctors. Each doctor has to start from the beginning. Find a doctor you're comfortable with and stick with him/her as they discover all the things it is NOT. Each time you switch doctors, you take several steps back.
