The Garden of Eden is, according to the Bible, near four rivers that are a bit north of the continent of Africa anyways. As in, the Middle East.

Everything I've read suggested the Chad area.

FP

I guess that doesn't include the Bible.  You should read it before you argue about it.

I've read the Bible many times, and it really doesn't say much about the location of Eden.

Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.

Look up the Euphrates River, which was one of the four rivers that flowed out of the Garden of Eden (according to the Bible.)  I would provide you with more information but I am preoccupied right now.

Migration, mutation, adapting, recombination etc.. I read somewhere about recessive genes. So assuming the Adam and Eve story is real, then its more likely they were black, dark skinned. You can't really get black from white. But somehow it can work the other way around. At least that's the thinking.

Just because black people are from Africa and Adam and Eve were supposedly from Africa doesn't mean that Adam and Eve were black. Saying that white people cannot live in Africa is a hideous assumption. It would be rough, but they could probably pull it off. Over time there would be a genetic mutation that caused one of their descendants to have black skin. Natural selection would spread this trait.

Now I myself don't want to make any conclusions as to whether Adam and Eve were black, because the bible doesn't specify and they probably didn't exist quite like they did in the bible anyways.

They would have been black.

Change in skin colouration, along with other adaptations, has to do with prolonged exposure to a certain environment, not purely genetics.

FP

The environment can change someones skin color, but even if it went from very light to very dark, it wouldn't be passed on to the kids unless the kid grew up in the same environment.  The environment doesn't change skin tone genetically.  That's like saying the children of a man who lost an arm in a war could be born with one arm, based on what happened to their father... That's just plain incorrect.

I think what FP meant was that over generations skin color would change.
