Top private high school, I've taken four AP's junior year (I got two fives and two fours) and I'm taking four next year, I'd say that's pretty rigorous and I get mostly A's with maybe one B a semester or so.

I'm editor-in-chief of the school paper and have done various writing internships/classes over the summer, I also have played four years of tennis for my school and do some random communtiy service but nothing huge.

I got a 1390 for two section, 2130 for three.

Not a legacy or minority or anything, blah idk. Do I have a chance?

You can probably aim a bit higher than that with those credentials though.

Seriously? Hm. I thought Emory was pretty top-notch, I'm not sure I'm gonna play the whole I'm-applying-to-an-Ivy game.

GPA? Class rank? Years of foreign language?

It's a match with those credentials if you have above a 3.85 unweighted.

If I remember correctly, Emory was really focused on GPA.. as most schools seem to trend now.

My school doesn't calculate GPA or rank, and I've done/am doing four years of the main five subjects: english, math, science, history, foreign language.

My school is like yours too, no class rank.

" I'm editor-in-chief of the school paper and have done various writing internships/classes over the summer,"
this is great!

" I also have played four years of tennis for my school"
great, keeping it up for 4 years is a good plus.

"I'd say that's pretty rigorous and I get mostly A's with maybe one B a semester or so"
definitely qualified.

I say you are definitely an Ivy material.
You should take a shot at the top schools:)
