I got a new computer, and i got some software discs for it, they're already pre-installed, so they're just for backup, but i have a question.
On the paper sleeve, there are some numbers:

(example.) US-0t987-89723ryhuiws-67g-98765

now, do i need that number? or can i just toss the case? because id rather put the CD in a CD holder as opposed to having it loose.

the number is probably a serial number, keep it in case your computer messes up

Always keep numbers like that. You never know what they mean (they're probably manufacturer part numbers). Just cut them out, and stick them to the new case witha bit of stickytape.
