Well its been a long time since ive been in a relationship. Four years to be exact. I feel im ready to start dating around again. Now ive got everything set as far as school being #1 and everything else #2 on the list. Its just been so long, I dont want to really rush anything but, I miss it. How exactly do relationships workout in college?

The thing about college is that they give you a ridiculous amount of time to acclimate to "living on your own." This is for all the kids that don't know how to take care of themselves without mommy and daddy. You end up with more free time than you'd think so I'd say go furr it.

Its good that being in a relationship isnt top of your list, but can be good for you. Why dont you get to know some guys, start out just casually "seeing someone" and see if it progresses. :)

They're about balance, and sacrifice. Your girl has to understand you've got school/work to do (as she should, too. :P). And she's got to realize, you're not going to spend 100% of your time with her. She's still a priority, just not top.

Don't go relationship. That is how my girlfriend of one year four months left me.

She said I did not have as much time for her as I did back in high school.

That's an excuse and a load of bullcrap.

Anyway, I think you shouldn't really jump into a relationship-relationship, but definitely talk to people, and if you find someone you really like and it works, then go with the flow. You will probably have more time than you did in high school, and it will be fine...unless you are me and are doing band, college, and a job, plus having a boyfriend for 2+ years now. lol. I'm a multitasker.

i wish id be living on my own. Im going to community college, and they dont have dorms.

to make it worse, my parents want me at the nearest campus, so i can "get used to driving" which they wouldnt let me do for the past 2 years

Freshman year of college I didn't have a relationship. I didn't meet anyone I guess and I was way too busy with developing many new friendships. My social life was more important than my love life I think. Sophomore year I was ready to date and I now have a great boyfriend!
Basically, you can make time for whatever you want to in college but its hard to balance school, your social life, a job, AND a relationship...

There's more than enough time :)
I never had a relationship before college, so I guess I can't really compare...
Relationships in college are nice though because you know you'll be living really close for most of the year, and you can spend your free time together.
Even better if you get lucky like me and your boyfriend (or girlfriend on your case) only lives a floor below you in your dorm :)

I didn't feel like I had time for it, but a lot of other people really did and did well with it. It's really just about your gut instinct - if you think yes, then yes. If no, then no.

Good Luck!
