My music Changes with the enviroment. Lately I've been listening to alot of techno and rap because I'm learning how to break dance adn I need to know the songs well. NOrmally my favorite bands tend to be Chiodos and Underoath and that sort of music.

My taste in music is extremely diverse; I'll listen to almost anything.  My favorite part of a band, though, would probably be a rhythm section, which is why I picked up listening to jazz fusion like Weather Report and Herbie Hancock.

Of course, I also like lots of classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Doors, Bob Dylan, and especially Pink Floyd.

I also enjoy listening to 80s alternative like Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth, or R.E.M.  Progressive rock like Rush and King Crimson are also great.  I'll also listen to the occasional 80s punk band, especially Husker Du and The Minutemen.

I also listen to 90s alternative, such as Neutral Milk Hotel, Soundgarden, and Pavement.  Post-rock is also great, which includes bands like Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Mogwai, and Explosions in the Sky.

A new recent love of mine has been electronica, particularly IDM.  Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, and Squarepusher are my favorite IDM artists.  Heck, I'd say all of Warp Records makes good music.

In other words, I'll basically listen to virtually anything I can get my hands on.  If I like what I hear, I'll look into more bands that play the style of music.

I love metal, thats metal not metalcore (which is a load of crap) Bands like Iron Maiden, Dimmu Borgir, Slayer, Megadeth etc. I also love blues, classic rock, little bit of country and just plain old rock and roll. but only really the older music. because i love all the older rap from the early 90's and before (2pac, Warren G, nate dogg) but it had a meaning back then. now all it seems to be is endless rambling about 'Bitches n hoes' etc. but this is also the case for a lot of rock/metal. its very bad nowadays. all there seems to be is indie, emo and metalcore. which as we all know is not music.

though i prefer rock overall.

Good stuff. I listen to most of the same other than the alternative and classic rock.

I'm into alot of genres; post-punk, punk, industrial and many others but lately I've especially been into alot of 60's bands like The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Nancy Sinatra, Alice Cooper.. and then 70's/80's alternative and new wave like Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Cure, The Boomtown Rats, The Birthday Party.. or even some 80's pop.. then some, I'd call blues rock(?) like Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Tom Waits.. etc..
