I'm supposed to write about my experiences with the 9/11 attacks in NY, since I lived there at the time, and I need to come up with a kick-ass intro for it. I don't know what I'm going to write, I'm a good writer but I'm not inspired right now. And i don't wanna scar myself even more by watching the attacks on youtube over and over again.

Can someone please help me? I need to have a GREAT intro because that's what we're concentrating on in class right now.

start off with a deatiled description/ attention grabber, like it was a normal morning, or so i thought...and continue or start with a quote about 9/11

Not that you have to use my idea, of course, but I'm thinking an interesting way to start it could be to say something like:

I've never thought that one moment, one second, one idea could change my life forever.

Not sure where I'd take it after that though.
