I personal think it's pointless what they did and they should deserve some sort of punishment. I'd rather sort this our with a mature manner than what they did anyway.

I suppose you have a point about that but wouldn't the members here get some sort of punishment? I mean if a staff member is willing to co-operate with me and I can give them some infomation that might help them find the members on here because with all due respect I don't and never will abuse this forum over some certain members abusing the forum I'm on.

we cannot punish people for things they do offsite. we are not their parents nor are we the police. If it happens outside of livewire we have no control.

Some of your members come here. It gets these guys riled up and they head over there. I have no idea who started it and I quite frankly don't care. There's no need to point fingers and track down who started it.  

As someone stated, we can't control what happens off of LW. We moderate LW, not the lives of members. We don't control them.  

When the topic comes up, it's generally discouraged by a few mods. But that's as much as we can do. We try not to censor so much here.

Unfortunately, the members here get a lot of amusement out of the fact that you guys ban easily and for no reason. It's a trend that will pass.

Or say someone insulted a modertor on here they would get punished in how ever the rules are here on this forum. We do the same, they gave us reasons to ban them. We don't tolerate it and I'm sure you don't either. If it does continue then I guess I will personally revert to instant banning, I don't like allowing people to abuse on the forum I moderate. I'll let people from this forum on anytime but if all they want to do is cause drama and abuse members, staff and the forum itself what's the point having them there. So they shouldn't complain.

But fair enough. I thank all that have been positive about this matter with me, this is how communities should act together. It's how people make friends.

Fair enough, I guess I can't do anything about it. hence why they do this because they get away with it. And there's reasons why they get banned. I'm sure if someone on this forum left a profile message saying...

you should go check out our member to mod forum. It is full of people saying all sorts of terrible things to mods. We believe in freedom of expression here.

also, our pictures/profiles have a delete button. if a person doesnt like the comment someone leaves, tehy can delete it. It is only taken to the moderators if it is a repeat process, ie harrassment of one particular member.

our rules are really very lax here.

Members here constantly insult moderators and we laugh it off instead of trying to cover it up. There are pretty much constantly topics insulting us, we leave them. Sometimes they have valid points. If they don't, we still like to let them vent. To be a mod, you have to have tough skin. I don't think anyone has ever been banned for harassing a mod unless it was an account created just to troll.

And we don't instantly ban for people saying rude things. And definitely not for swearing. We may message the member first. Then warn them. We ban as a last resort, not because we can.

Oh yeah. It's funny that you ban instantly for swearing but then a member here posted a link to a profile that had a porn image. JUST SAYING!

I do have to say thanks. I think you guys have given the members a new appreciation for the way we moderate here. :p

Hopefully it dies down. Cause dealing with your teenhut spammers doesn't bring joy to our lives either.
