I'm in my 3rd year, transferring at the end of this semester or the next. My GPA is fan-fucking-tastic. It's near perfect, in fact. College was the first place where I ever studied outside of class. I was great at it, right off the bat. My study habits were brilliant, keyed to my personal style of learning. Now I've just lost all desire to study... I know I should, I want to, but I just cannot bring myself to do so. I've been this way all semester. I'm getting grades that are not up to par, but not failing. I'm to the point where I'm sure it will bring down my GPA, though. The past couple of semesters were perfect 4.0's with greater than 17 credit hours each. I'm at 16 hours this semester, with 2 1hr classes that really shouldn't add to my work load. I don't get it...anyone else experienced this?

It's pretty weird for me. I tutor for the college and I'm very well known and liked by both students and professors. I enjoy everything about college, really. This semester, though...bam, no desire to keep up with the class. I guess I feel like I'm missing out on something better, subconsciously. Perhaps I just need a release from everything for a few days. I haven't taken a personal day since the day after finals... My 'To Do' list just keeps getting bigger, though. I have an exam tomorrow and another one the day after; just had one yesterday, but I it was easy. That's the thing, really. I had a time like this in Calculus 2, last year. I went from the end of one exam to the end of the next without so much as thinking about the topic outside of class. The chapter was infinite series, something I've never had before, and I managed to do quite well on the exam. I know I should feel positive about that, but it made me feel like I was wasting my time by studying. Now, I'm taking another computer programing class that isn't like the others I've had. I'm doing poorly on the assignments; yet here I sit, the night before an exam, without having studied one minute outside of class. Post edited at 9:24 pm on Sep. 23, 2008 by Siress
